Hi Jann,
Wow, has it been that long on LDN? Amazing!
How have you been feeling since starting DHEA? From everything I've been reading, the D3 is now a lynchpin to wellness in autoimmunity. I'll post something shortly on that topic. DHEA is controversial, but I hope you got a chance to see my recent post on DHEA and thyroid disease.
Yes, adding T4 would cause a drop in TSH, and truly, your TSH was too high before. The optimal levels, especially in thyroid disease, are somewhere closer to 1-2, so you still have plenty of room to spare should you decide to add more T4 and/or T3. Your Free T levels still seem a little low to me, but who am I to say? They seem proportionate against each other (i.e. FT4 and FT3), but both seem low. As for the TPO Ab... yes, it is a little disappointing to see no change since LDN, but those levels are not bad at all, Jann, not when you consider that they could be in the thousands. Those TPO levels are like my diagnosing levels with Graves' disease and it was considered very low (assuming I have your range right). I think it would help to raise your thyroid hormone levels a bit as well.
If you've been feeling well, take it and run! As for the cholesterol - I think it's because your T hormone levels are too low. Never fails in my case. Low hormone, high cholesterol. (btw, I avoid bacon for oh so many reasons, from fat content to salt and curatives - used to love it, but don't do it anymore).
What made you decide to stop using niacin? Any particular thing?
