Hi Bluebell,
If you look in the LDN section, you will see threads on how to mix Naltrexone tablets with distilled water. However, my PERSONAL recommendation is to get it compounded at a compounding pharmacy for accuracy. The tablets that can be bought in Canada and Europe (and elsewhere) were never really designed to be mixed in water to divy into 3 - 4.5 mg, but is a last ditch method if you can't get it compounded.
LDN was originally produced in larger doses (50 mg tablets) for treatment of drug/alcohol addiction (in 50-300 mg doses), not for treating various autoimmune diseases in doses of 1.5 - 10 mg. It can be prescribed as an off-label drug (used for a reason other than what it was originally designed for) by a doctor. The problem is, most doctors don't know about recent studies and research into LDN for other uses or might feel uncomfortable even with a negligible amount of LDN in thyroid disease which has not yet had a trial -- whereas MS has had more extenstive studies as well as a more rampant grassroots movement among patients.
We have some Hashi's members here who take LDN -- I hope they will see your thread and reply. Don't forget to read the newsletters and browse the forum and survey for more information.
