INSTRUCTIONS
Still need help after reading instructions below? Ask Val or Lolly for help. If you are getting error messages, log out, close the browser window, and log back in. Compatible with MS Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Not tested for other browser types.

AVATARS
Avatars are sized to 48 x 48 pixels. If you are using your own avatar, even one linked to a URL image, please use one that is closer to this size, preferably between 48 pixels and 150 pixels (square). Larger avatars slow down the chat. Users can pick from available avatars offered by this software.

GENERAL SETTINGS

TURN SOUND OFF. Uncheck this option to turn sound off.
TURN SCROLL OFF. Uncheck this option to stop the screen from scrolling.
CHANGE NICK. Allows the user to specify a new nickname for this room.
MY STATUS. Allows the user to change their status. The icon next to the persons nickname in the “Room Users” area will change according to the selected status. See below:

ROOM USERS
“Room Users” is a list of members who are chatting. See “>>” or “<<” to slide the room user window open or shut.

REGISTRATION AND LOGIN REQUIRED FOR CHAT PARTICIPATION.

POP-OUT CHAT RECOMMENDED
To the right of "My Settings" in the toolbar, you will see two double boxes. This button allows the user to "pop out" the chatroom to a different window. This pop-out window can be resized to a larger size for easier viewing and typing. Users can also browse the website while talking in the pop-out window.

PRIVATE MESSAGING
Click on another user in the “Room Users” area. Select “Private Message”, which will show up in a separate tab.
